I'm surprised to see your camellia still blooming. It is a beauty. Our camellia 'Springs Promise' finally dropped its last flower last week so yours beat it for longevity of blooms.
I thought I had made a mistake when I said my crabapple was Flame. I had to look for the label and had to check it twice before I believed it. Now your photo confirms it. It is exactly the same tree.
I never have been partial to flowering almond. Our neighbor when we lived in a townhouse was extremely ecstatic that she finally found one but when it bloomed we didn't like it very much. She did so that's all that mattered.
